HealthGlobe Corporate Services assigns a dedicated Patient Advocate to each firm with which we work. The assigned Patient Advocate works directly with plan members to educate and inform them about their options for medical travel. Our Patient Advocates are professionally trained and work from a set of pre-defined Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for assisting each patient through their unique case to be sure that their needs are addressed.
The Patient Advocate will conduct on-site educational sessions with the employees. When a patient elects to explore their medical travel options for a covered medical procedure, they will be provided with a full set of options available to them in the plan, and will be given the opportunity to review the credentials of the hospital and of the surgeon, including the number of times the procedure has been performed, complication and infection rates, wait times and length of inpatient and outpatient stay in the host country.
When the patient decides to move forward with the medical procedure through HealthGlobe, their Patient Advocate will work with them to arrange for the transfer of medical records, scheduling of the procedure and any outpatient stay that will be required, and scheduling of necessary travel arrangements. The Patient Advocate acts as the patient's contact point and as a key resource for any information or arrangements that are needed in the course of their medical travel.
Throughout the process, the Patient Advocate will educate the patient on any aftercare (physical therapy, routine checkups, etc.) that will be needed when they return home. Upon discharge from the hospital the Patient Advocate will provide the patient with a written description of necessary aftercare, and will follow up with the patient at regular intervals to assist the patient with obtaining the aftercare necessary to ensure the best quality outcome.
Our patients consistently report exceptional medical travel experiences using our network of top-quality hospitals. See what they have to say on our medical tourism testimonials and medical travel testimonials page.
