Boston, Massachusetts, June 1, 2009 — Pinnacle Health of Marlboro, Massachusetts, an organization that manages self-funded healthcare plans for employers, today signed an agreement with Boston based medical travel business Patients Without Borders, LLC, to provide cost-effective international healthcare options to its members.

The 50-80% cost savings on procedures delivered by quality healthcare providers in other countries through global medical travel is very attractive to companies with self-funded health plans. These plans involve the employer assuming the costs associated with medical claims payment, rather than paying a fee to an insurance underwriter to do so.
