Dental Implants

What is a Dental Implant?

Dental Implants replace a tooth that needs replacement due to tooth decay, root canal failure, gum disease or any other number of reasons for tooth failure. The implant is normally a titanium stem that is implanted into the jaw bone. The implant can then be used to support a Dental Crown, Dental Bridge or Denture.

What types of Dental Implants are available?

There are several types of Dental Implants available now. A HealthGlobe Patient Advocate can work with you to have a dentist recommend a crown that would work in your circumstance.

How long does it take to get a Dental Implant?

Dental Implants placement can be done as a one stage or two stage process. When the implantation is done in two steps, the Dental Implants are placed 2-12 weeks after the tooth is extracted. Your dentist will recommend the optimal Dental Implant placement protocol for your case.
